Ebisu

Upscale Without the Attitude

Upscale / Relaxed🟢 Low crowds

Ebisu sits between Shibuya and Nakameguro and shares both their energy without the extremes of either. The Yebisu Garden Place complex has a handful of good restaurants and a beer museum (Sapporo is headquartered here). The backstreets are full of excellent bars and small restaurants and are surprisingly home to many of our favorite bars.

Stay here if

You want a more upscale base that's still connected to Shibuya and Nakameguro and has very central train routes.

Skip It If

You don’t want to split the difference. This is a half step down from Shibuya in terms of being a major area but a half step up from Nakemeguro.

Spincoaster Music Bar

Bar
Ebisu·¥¥

Tiny 10-person record bar in Ebisu. Intimate, great sound system, solid drinks and unlimited snacks. A gem if you can get in. Make sure to check hours and consider reaching out on IG. We found they occasionally are closed with no reasoning.

Don't MissTheir house special tequila drinks (less common in Tokyo)

Skip It IfYou want a big night out. This is for a longer hang or an early drink.
