Harajuku
Fashion & Shrine
One of Tokyo's most overwhelming neighborhoods - malls, fashion brands, crowds. But also home to Meiji-Jingu, which is the one shrine worth visiting in Tokyo. The juxtaposition of walking from one of the busiest streets in Tokyo into a completely silent forested shrine is striking. Go early.
Stay here if
You want the full Tokyo fashion experience plus the most serene shrine in the city.
