Nakameguro
City Walks & Coffee
Nakameguro is our favorite neighborhood. The Meguro River is one of the great city walks in any city. Walk both sides of the river - tons of shopping and cafes to pop in and out of. Then walk the main road and the street under the train tracks near the station for a more local feel. We spent the most time here of anywhere.
Our favorite neighborhood to walk around. HOWEVER, it might be a zoo if you're there in cherry blossom season.
Stay here if
You want the best neighborhood to walk around in Tokyo — canal, coffee, great restaurants, and evening atmosphere.
Skip It If
You're visiting during peak cherry blossom season and want a calm stroll — come back another time or go early morning.
