More Info

About

Odaiba is a large artificial island in Tokyo Bay developed in the 1990s as a commercial and entertainment district. It contains shopping malls, museums, a replica of the Statue of Liberty, a Ferris wheel, and views of the Rainbow Bridge and city skyline. It is connected to central Tokyo by the driverless Yurikamome line and the Rinkai Line.

Time Needed

2-3 hours for a general visit including the waterfront walk.

Best Time To Go

Evening for the bay views and city skyline at night. The area is best visited on a clear day for views of Mount Fuji across the water.

Getting There

Multiple stations on the Yurikamome line from Shimbashi. Odaiba-Kaihinkoen or Daiba stations depending on your destination.

Tips

The area was designed for cars and feels very spread out on foot. Plan your specific stops before arriving rather than wandering and hoping to find something.
